Dudley Lane bus shelters to be replaced from Monday 12 October
Three bus shelters on Dudley Lane are being replaced from Monday 12 October, with the work expected to be finished by Friday 16 October.
The shelters being replaced are:
- the shelter outside the east entrance to Manor Walks
- the two shelters next to Seven Oaks Park
We’re recruiting: Community Co-ordinator
Cramlington Town Council is looking for a Community Co-ordinator to join its Community and Youth Team.
The role will help lead Connected Communities, a new initiative assisting Cramlington’s Community Centres. The centres will share ideas, resources, volunteers and opportunities, while each keeps its own identity.
The Community Co-ordinator will support the committees and trustee boards that run the centres with governance, insurance, health and safety and funding. This frees volunteers to focus on the activities they love and helps protect the centres for the future. The role also includes co-ordinating wellbeing activities, building partnerships and managing bookings for the council’s Community Space.
Deputy Town Mayor visits Cramlington Army Cadets open night
Last night Deputy Town Mayor Cllr Barbara Gregan visited Cramlington Army Cadets at their base at Fox Barracks TA Centre for their open night.
Cadets gave talks about their experiences, including international exchanges and Duke of Edinburgh Award challenges, and demonstrated the training they take part in each week, such as tracking and fieldcraft.
Cllr Gregan said: “What a fabulous bunch of youngsters I had the pleasure to meet. If you have youngsters aged 12-18 who may be interested in joining, I’m certain they will learn amazing life skills, joining in team experiences which will grow their confidence, maturity and respect for themselves and others.”
External Audit of Cramlington Town Council
We are pleased to confirm that the external audit of Cramlington Town Council’s Annual Governance & Accountability Return (AGAR) for the financial year ending 31 March 2026 has been concluded.
The appointed external auditors, Mazars LLP, reviewed the Statement of Accounts, together with all financial statements and supporting documents, and formally signed off on 29th September 2026.
In accordance with statutory requirements, the completed AGAR and accompanying audit documents are now published and available to view on our website here. Printed copies of the return are available from our office free of charge (27/78 Bamburgh House, Manor Walks, Cramlington (upstairs next to Newcastle Building Society).
