Cramlington Knit and Knatter nominate local groups for charity cheques
What a generous group of women Cramlington Knit and Knatter are!
When they were recently declared the overall champions of the Cramlington Town Council #LoveCramlington Awards, their prize included £500 from sponsor Dräger.
The knitting group then decided to nominate two local charities to be the beneficiaries of that money.
Pictured at a special presentation are (centre) knitting group leader Margaret Derrick, (left) Nick Furno, Dräger’s Head of Good Causes, right, Maggie Martin, Cramlington Town Council’s Community Manager and from the two charities that received the money Pat Heard from Dogs First and Angela Angus from Bright Red, surrounded by the Knit and Knatter members.
On behalf of Dräger Nick Furno commented “We are delighted to support Bright Red and Dogs First who are both very deserving charities and thanks to the members of Cramlington Knit and Knatter for nominating them.”
