Refurbishment celebrations at East Hartford Community Centre
East Hartford Community Centre has undergone a £20.000 refurbishment and to celebrate the building’s new look a party is being planned to show the local community the improved facilities.
Alterations include new flooring, a PA system that can operate via Bluetooth, new tables and chairs, an improved nappy-changing facility and redecoration of all the main public areas, giving a more modern feel to the interior.
The work has been possible thanks to donations from many organisations including Cramlington Town Council, Northumberland County Council, National Lottery Awards For All, the Rothley Trust, the 1989 Willan Charitable Trust, the R.W. Mann Trust and the Barbour Foundation.
Secretary Lisa Badiali said “I’m absolutely delighted with the improvements. The centre really is at the heart of the community who use it most days with lunch clubs, bingo, and a variety of different clubs using it for events and meetings.
Donna Scott, treasurer, added “To celebrate the completion of the refurbishment we are having a Grand Re-opening Party on Sunday August 25th between 2 and 6, There will be food and drink, fun and games. All the committee are delighted to extend an invitation to everyone to come along and see the changes.”
