Pop-up bus results in socially-distanced disco fun!
There was dancing on the streets in East Hartford thanks to the Northumberland Communities Together pop-up bus team who hosted a socially distanced dance session.
The bus called in at East Hartford recreation ground, the doors opened and out came the music – disco time had arrived!
The dancing was led by NHS healthcare trainers who soon had the crowd strutting their stuff…
Cramlington Town Councillors Pat Heard and Barry Flux were delighted with the response.
Cllr Barry Flux commented “Although some restrictions have been lifted, we are still in times where we have limits on what we are allowed to do. Having the pop-up bus visit communities like East Hartford is a great way of engaging with young people in a positive way – as well as keeping fit and having fun!”
Fellow Cramlington West councillor Pat Heard said “It was great to see so many people there for the first session. The bus will be returning next Wednesday at 10am so hopefully there will be an even bigger crowd. It’s a great venue as there is plenty of room to dance while adhering to the social distancing guidelines.”
