It’s great to see that work is progressing well with the redevelopment of the play area in Alexandra Park.

Cramlington Town Council has invested £100,000 to provide new equipment and safety surfacing and it is part of the £200,000 funding of playground improvements across the town.

This includes the UK’s first Loly Slider –  inspired by the loop of a roller coaster this is an innovative climbing structure, ideal for young people to burn off energy on  and specifically good for children with ADHD.

 

Another installation is a Spinmee Inclusive Roundabout which is accessible to those with mobility impairments and can safely accommodate wheelchairs.
