Age UK volunteers wanted

July 28, 2019

A message from Age UK Northumberland:

Here at Age UK Northumberland we are always looking for people who are happy to give up their time to support older people across Northumberland. People normally volunteer for a few hours each week, Monday to Friday during normal working hours. However, we realise that people have very busy lives and we always try to be flexible as we very much appreciate the time, expertise and commitment that our volunteers bring.

People volunteer for a range of reasons.  Some people just want to give something back to their community, feel part of a team or share their knowledge and expertise. Volunteering also gives people the chance to develop new skills, update their CV, get to know their community or just make new friends whilst at the same time supporting older people across Northumberland.

Please feel free to circulate this information to anyone who you think may be interested in volunteering with Age UK Northumberland.

We have a range of volunteer roles available these include:

·         The Friendship Line

·         Social Friday Groups

·         Information & Advice Line  and Welfare Benefits Advice

·         Advocacy  Services

·         Health,  Wellbeing and Exercise

·         Day Centres
