Chair Of Council Resigns
Councillor John Collins, ward councillor for Northburn and Chairman of the Town Council, has resigned due to ill health and family commitments.
John was first elected to the Council in 2011 and has served the town council in many capacities, most prominently as Chairman of the Council from 2017. He was an active member of the council and instigated many improvements in his ward and across the town. Fellow Northburn Councillor, Wayne Daley, commented:
“ I am extremely grateful to John for his support and service. He will be greatly missed for his constant enthusiasm and dedication to making Cramlington a great place to live. He was proud to represent his ward and made many personal sacrifices to meet his responsibilities during his time as a councillor”
Until a successor to Councillor Collins is appointed, Northburn residents can continue to contact their Town and County Councillor Wayne Daley through the Town Council.
