Christmas tree festival is a seasonal delight

November 29, 2019

Today (Friday) is the beginning of a three day Christmas Tree Festival in St Nicholas’ Church that is sure to fill you with festive feelings as you look at the beautifully decorated branches and creative skills on display.

The trees have been decorated by a range of businesses and community groups from the town and the windows in the church also feature displays such as the one pictured with pupils from Burnside Primary School.

Rector of Cramlington Rev Wullie Docherty said: “Welcome to our second Christmas Tree Festival. Our trees represent just some of the businesses and organisations which contribute to this vibrant town.

Each has been decorated to reflect a flavour of the sponsoring company. Particular care has been taken with hand-made decorations.

We hope you enjoy the visual spectacle and on behalf of the organisers let me wish you a blessed and restoring Christmas.”

Viewing times are: Friday 29th November 10am-4pm,  Saturday 30th November 10am-4pm, Sunday 1st December Noon-4pm
Entrance is free and refreshments will be available.
