Community Chest helps Mighty Minds support young minds…

Cramlington Town Council is pleased to announce that Mighty Minds CIC has been awarded £900 from their Community Chest to deliver a mindset and emotional intelligence programme for local children.

This 4-week programme will support approximately 60 Year 5 and 6 pupils at Eastlea Primary School, along with their teachers and parents.

The interactive workshops will focus on four key areas:  Self-awareness and identity;  managing big emotions (anger and anxiety); developing a growth mindset and building resilience.

Using techniques tailored for young minds, each child will receive resources to support their learning and track progress. With 75% of mental health issues starting before adulthood, this early intervention programme is beneficial for wellbeing.

The funding will help strengthen emotional literacy, self-regulation, communication skills and confidence – benefits that will support these children now and in their future. Teachers and parents will also gain valuable tools and resources.
