Community Chest supports community action projects

Cramlington Town Council is delighted to announce that Control and Move Community Interest Company has been awarded £900 from our Community Chest to deliver free fitness programs for Cramlington residents.

This funding will support three exciting initiatives running from August to October, namely

Sit & Get Fit which offers gentle exercise sessions for older adults; Memory in Motion which is a series of activities for individuals with dementia and their carers and Mams & Prams, a series of fitness sessions for new mothers and their babies.

The grant will cover essential equipment including resistance bands, weights, music equipment, dance props, yoga mats and more – ensuring these programmes are completely free and accessible to all.

With over 100 Cramlington residents set to benefit from these local sessions, the fitness programme is a great example of what our Community Chest funding is designed to support – projects that make a real difference to our community’s health and wellbeing.
