Community pulls together to make Cramlington’s Great Spring Clean a success!

Cramlington Town Councillors, community groups and individual residents demonstrated their community spirit at the weekend when they joined forces to take part in Cramlington’s Great Spring Clean.

More than 50 bags of rubbish were collected from across the town.

Cramlington Town Mayor Loraine De Simone said “I’m very proud of my fellow councillors who led litter pics in their wards – great effort! Importantly, their efforts were matched by community groups such as the Women’s Institute, Cramlington Red Squirrel Group, cubs and beavers, East Hartford Community Centre, Friends of Doddington Wood as well as individuals who carried out their own picks too.

Together we are all doing our bit to keep Cramlington Clean and Green!”
