Council provides free skateboard skills sessions

January 30, 2023

Cramlington Town Council is delighted to offer FREE skateboard and scooter coaching during February half-term.

We have engaged the UK’s leading coaching provider, Team Rubicon, to deliver a fantastic day of tuition at Alexandra Park for youngsters age 6+.

No booking required – just turn up from 9am on Thursday 23rd February and give it a go!

Equipment including skateboards, scooters and necessary safety provision is available for free.

Team Rubicon staff teach over 50,000 children a year and are DBS checked.

Their feedback shows that skateboarding and scootering engage and inspire young people – leading to healthier active lifestyles and positive mental attitudes.

Cramlington Town Council Youth Coordinator Joe Eltringham endorsed these findings saying: “Being active outdoors has many benefits but most of all I hope local youngsters just have fun.”

“It is the first time we have provided skateboarding as part of our free school holiday activities so I hope it will be a popular activity – I know I can’t wait to have a go too!”
