Councillor and school work together to solve woodland issue
A Cramlington headteacher has thanked a local councillor for solving an issue relating to an overgrown area of woodland.
Residents living near the rear of the playing field attached to Cragside Primary School had voiced concerns about the size of the trees and the impact they were having on the neighbourhood. Headteacher Paul Rusby contacted Cramlington Town Councillor Dr Paul Ezhilchelvan and as representative for the South East Ward he used his members small scheme allowance to pay for remedial work to the wooded area.
Mr Rusby said ‘It is good to work together for the benefit of the local community and I am grateful to Councillor Ezhilchelvan for all his support.
In response, Cllr Ezhilchelvan said he was pleased to be in a position to offer a practical solution to a matter that was concerning local residents.
