Cramlington celebrates the official opening of Northburn Dog Park

Thank you to everyone who came along to the official opening of Northburn Dog Park at Horton Park in Cramlington on Saturday 8th August.

Town Mayor Helen Morris officially opened the dog park, welcoming all the pups and their humans to the town’s newest community space. The dogs wasted no time enjoying their first run in the new park, with plenty of tails wagging as they explored their surroundings.

The park is a fenced, enclosed space where dogs can run off lead, with two gates at either end. Please remember dogs must be supervised at all times, and we ask all visitors to pick up after their dogs and use the bins provided.

A big thank you to the Dogs First Animal Rescue team, who came down with treats for the dogs and chatted to lots of visitors about their work with rescue dogs.

The new park follows a public consultation held last year and has been funded by Cramlington Town Council in response to residents’ feedback.
