Cramlington Community Chest Grants Awarded and Next Round Now Open

We’re pleased to announce that seven Community Chest grants were awarded at the Community and Youth Committee meeting in July, supporting a range of local projects that benefit the residents of Cramlington.

The following grants were approved:

• Stanley Creatives – £640 to host an 8-week community creative writing course
• Mayfields Community Centre – £600 for the purchase and installation of a memorial bench
• Cramlington Archers – £800 for archery equipment including heavy duty stands and foam bosses
• East Hartford Community Centre – £800 to incorporate a weekly gardening club at the centre
• Little Robot CIC – £800 to start a new programme of stand-up comedy workshops in Cramlington
• Mighty Minds CIC – £800 for additional seating within a mobile emotional wellbeing unit
• Northern Butterflies – £800 for the upkeep of the community allotment

The next round is now open!

Grants are available for up to 80% of the project cost, to a maximum of £800. Applications will be assessed against the eligibility criteria and considered at the Community and Youth Committee meeting on 10th September.

The deadline to apply is 11.59pm on Thursday 27th August.
