‘Cramlington Conversation’ set to continue
It was good to talk on Saturday at the ‘Cramlington Conversation’ event in Manor Walks shopping centre.
The event was organised by Cramlington Town Forum, a partnership between Cramlington Town Council, Northumberland County Council and other partners and the town’s residents were encouraged to have their say as part of a drive to make the town an even better place to live, work and invest.
Town and County Council staff and councillors were on hand along with community organisations and service providers.
Stall holders provided information about the many services and activities on offer in the town.
The event was just one of several ways residents can get involved in the Community Conversation with plans for the conversation to continue in community throughout the summer.
There will also be events for the local business community and employees to find out what they think.
An online portal was launched enabling feedback for those members of the community that couldn’t attend in person.
In the online survey residents can say how they feel about 14 different aspects of Cramlington – from housing, safety, play and recreation to public transport and feeling safe.

The conversation will run until Autumn 2023 when all the feedback will be compiled and used to celebrate the strengths of the town and ideas for improvement.
The outcome of the conversation will be fed back to the community and there will be further engagement at future events about any plans and proposals that emerge.
