Cramlington History Hub hosts a canny do!

May 26, 2023

Throughout May, to mark Local and Community History Month, Cramlington Heritage Hub have hosted a series of events in Cramlington Warm Space in Manor Walks.

The last of these events featured local musicians ‘Canny Folk’ who entertained with their ballads, harmonies and humour!

Cramlington’s Deputy Town Mayor Councillor Christine Dunbar (bottom left) introduced the group saying: “The Heritage Hub has laid on a fascinating series of talks, celebrating the history of our town and Canny Folk will now treat us to a celebration of local culture.”

Marie Dooley from the History Hub (bottom right) thanked the Hub members for their work and explained that the Hub has events planned every month that will acknowledge Cramlington’s varied and diverse past. The next event is on June 7th at the Annie’s Green play area in Alexandra Park, from 1pm.
