Dog owners invited to Alexandra Park event
September 16, 2021
Calling all dog owners – you and your four-legged friends are invited to a day of canine capers on Saturday 25th September when Cramlington’s second Doggy Day event is being held in Alexandra Park.
The event is being organised by Cramlington Town Councillor Paul Ezhilchelvan who explained: “In August a Doggy Day was held in Horton Park and it proved to be very popular, so I’ve organised this event for the benefit of all the dog owners who live in the south of the town.”
“The event runs from 10am until 4pm and will be next to the sensory garden in Alexandra Park.”
Northumberland County Council’s Animal Welfare Officer Gemma Fowle will be attending with information about the Green Dog Walkers Scheme. She will also be checking microchips and will be able to update information on certain types of chip (this is not possible on some makes of microchips).
Cramlington re-homing charity Dogs First will also be in attendance – Pat and her team from the charity will be on hand to offer advice and no doubt have some of their success stories with them.
Julie Leddy from Northumberland Communities Together will be promoting the work of the organisation and giving away free doggy treats!
If you would like to be involved with the event or have any queries please contact Cllr Paul Ezhilchelvan on email@example.com
