Draft Cramlington Neighbourhood Plan consultation
The opinions of Cramlington residents are being sought as the town council launches consultation on a plan that will help shape the future of the town.
The draft Cramlington Neighbourhood Plan will be crucial in the development of the town and if approved will be referred to in the determination of planning policies and applications by Northumberland County Council.
Council Chairman Cllr John Collins said: ‘We want to reach out to as many residents as possible to hear their views and gain their input. Cramlington is their town and the future development of the area will have more impact on them than anyone else. They know the town better than anyone else and that is why their views are so important.’
‘We are holding a drop-in event where we will display the draft Neighbourhood Plan at Concordia Leisure Centre on Saturday (September 15) between 10 and 12 noon where councillors will be available to discuss the plans proposals.’
Further consultation on the draft Neighbourhood Plan will be conducted over the next six weeks and all residents are encouraged to put forward their views.
Hard copies of the plan are available at the Cramlington Town Council office at Surveyors House, NE23 1DN and at Concordia Leisure.
The documents are also available on the Town Council website www.cramlingtontowncou ncil.gov.uk and can be accessed via a link on our Facebook page.
The consultation deadline is 12 noon on October 25.
