Floral Displays and Roundabout Grass Cutting

June 9, 2021

Over the last few years there have been many complaints from residents regarding floral displays.   In response Cramlington Town Council has terminated its contract with Northumberland County Council and has set up its own Operations Team.

The Town Council’s aim is to significantly improve the appearance of Cramlington, while doing so more efficiently and economically.

The existing beds have been renewed and over the next few weeks the team will be planting out the summer bedding.

The Town Council is now responsible for cutting the grass around the Village Square and Low Main Place, the Sensory Garden, around the floral displays and in their play areas.  In addition the Team will also be expanding work to include grass cutting on the six major roundabouts along Northumbrian Road and Dudley Lane.

If you have any issues about the above please go to https://www.cramlingtontowncouncil.gov.uk/contact-us/

Northumberland County Council continue to be responsible for grass cutting along the roadsides, housing estates, industrial estates and recreational areas.   Residents should address any issues directly with the County Council via https://online.northumberland.gov.uk/citizenportal/form.aspx?form=589
