Free cycling instruction aims to get you back in the saddle…
Cramlington Town Council’s Community Engagement Team has teamed up with Cycle With Jan to offer free bicycle instruction sessions for adults who are looking to improve their cycling skills and regain confidence on the roads.
During the coronavirus pandemic there has been a huge increase in the number of people cycling and riding to work. Cycling is also good for the environment and good for one’s health.
So taking all these factors into account now is the ideal time to increase your road confidence by signing up to these sessions organised by experienced instructor Jan Chisholm.
The first two sessions to be held in Cramlington are at Cramlington Learning Village between 10am and 12noon on Saturday May 22 and Saturday May 29.
All those interested will need to complete an individual application form and will then be offered the training; all training areas are organised risk assessed in advance and the training professional delivered by qualified Bikeability instructors.
Dr Bike will also be on hand to offer free safety checks and minor repairs to help people get back on the road.
The sessions are funded through Northumberland County Council’s The Big Northumberland Gear Change
