Giant poppies to line Cramlington route

October 14, 2018

A major route into Cramlington will be lined with giant poppies as the town prepares to pay it’s respects to the fallen on November 11th.

Lamp posts from Barnes Park to the town centre will feature the poppies and it is hoped that they will be sponsored by individuals and businesses for a minimum donation of £5.

If you would like to sponsor a poppy you can call in to the Cramlington Town Council office, Surveyors House, Blagdon Terrace, NE23 1DN   between the hours of 10am and 3pm or by contacting Adam Harvey on 01670 707831
All donations will be passed on to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal via the Cramlington branch of the RBL.
A list acknowledging those who have given donations for the poppies will be published.
The town council is finalising arrangements for the remembrance service on  November 11th which marks the 100th anniversary of the cessation of hostilities in  World War I.
