Insurance company staff help keep Cramlington clean and green
A team from Collingwood Insurance embraced the aims of Cramlington Conservation Day by clearing litter across the town.
Town Councillor Christine Dunbar, who represents Eastfield Ward, supplied the volunteers with litter pickers saying “I was delighted to supply the litter picking equipment to the team from Collingwood and was impressed with the amount of rubbish they collected. They take a proactive approach to environmental conservation and are setting a great example of corporate citizenship.”
Debby Stafford from Collingwood commented “The rain didn’t put us off and we had a super day. Meeting and talking to some of the residents of Cramlington and their furbabies was great and it was lovely to see how supportive they were and the thanks we got was overwhelming. By the end of the day we certainly felt we had put something back into the community.”
“Hopefully we will have to inspired others in the community to join the effort in keeping the area clean and preserving the natural beauty of the region.”
