Let there be lights!…a great line-up in place for Saturday’s switch-on.

November 22, 2019

Ho Ho Ho – we are so looking forward to Saturday when Cramlington’s Christmas switch-on takes place!

Cramlington Town Council is supporting the event in Manor Walks where a great line-up of entertainment awaits.

Among the attractions are the whole cast of Jack and the Beanstalk from  Whitley Bay Playhouse including Ashleigh and Sully (Britain’s Got Talent Winner and Crufts Agility Champion), Molly Scott X Factor Finalist and Playhouse Panto Legend Steve Walls.

The fun begins at 11am with a range of festivities including, frozen princess walkabouts, Jingle Bells the reindeer and human Christmas trees who will be greeting visitors throughout the day.

There are several walkabout acts, creative crafts, carnival rides and some live music to entertain you while you shop and look forward to the  performances on stage in the South Mall.

Metro Radio breakfast show presenters Steve and Karen will keep you entertained on stage introducing  a range of characters including the big man with the white beard!

Cramlington Town Mayor Loraine De Simone is looking forward to welcoming  people tomorrow. She said: “A huge thank you must go to the team at Manor Walks for the work they put in to ensure the event is a success and as a key partner in this Christmas programme, Cramlington Town Council is delighted to support Saturday’s switch-on”

“The Town Council has also invested in new lighting schemes in the town centre which we hope will bring some seasonal sparkle to all the residents. I hope as many people as possible will come and join in the festive fun.”
