Let’s fill Cramlington with giant poppies…
The Cramlington Branch of the Royal British Legion is once again asking businesses and residents of Cramlington to sponsor a lamp post poppy.
The major routes into Cramlington will be lined with giant poppies as the town prepares to pay it’s respects to the fallen on Remembrance Sunday and November 11th.
Lamp posts from Dudley Lane, Station Road and Cumbrian Road leading to the town centre will be the main focus of the display but there will also be opportunities for the poppies to be placed in other areas of the town.
Residents and businesses will have the opportunity to sponsor a poppy for a donation of £5 and all sponsors will be acknowledged on the Cramlington Town Council website.
Cramlington Royal British Legion Branch chairman, Joe Wallace said, “It was fantastic to see the main routes coming into Cramlington lined with poppies last year and it was all the more special being the 100th year marking the Armistice.
