Life After Loss: Compassionate Support in Cramlington This December
To help support local residents during this time, Inner Light Wellbeing CIC has been awarded a £900 Community Chest grant from Cramlington Town Council. This funding will provide a Life After Loss session in Cramlington – a gentle, welcoming space created specifically for people who are navigating grief during the holiday season.
Held during National Grief Awareness Week in the first week of December, this initiative provides timely and essential emotional support at a period of heightened vulnerability. For many in the local community, the lead-up to the festive season can be distressing.
The event will take place on Thursday 4th December, from 9:00am to 11:30am, at the Cramlington Warm Space in Manor Walks (located next door to Bettini’s Café).
The Life After Loss sessions are designed to offer comfort, calm and understanding. Whether you wish to talk, sit quietly, or simply share space with people who understand, you’re welcome exactly as you are.
Participants can take part in a range of gentle, grounding activities, including:
-
Meditation to help ease overwhelm and create a sense of calm
-
Creative therapy activities to express emotion and reconnect with moments of light
-
A quiet, supportive space to share experiences – or simply be present without any pressure
If Christmas feels a little heavier this year, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
