Litter pickers unite on ‘Weekend One’ of the Cramlington Spring Clean!

What a great job from the Cramlington residents who took part in a series of litter picks this past weekend – the first of three weekends that comprise the ‘Cramlington Spring Clean 2025’.

The ‘Spring Clean’ is part of an initiative from Keep Britain Tidy that Cramlington Town Council is supporting.

Deputy Town Clerk (Community) Maggie Martin said “Well done to all the local residents that gave a bit of time to join in the Spring Clean. There were a series of picks in different locations – it was great to see.”

“This coming weekend there is a pick organised at Doddington Wood on Saturday 29^th at 2.30pm. People are welcome to join this pick or maybe they would like to organise their own? If so, just get in touch with me at maggie@cramlingtontowncouncil.gov.uk and you will get litter picking equipment and collection of the bags. Organise a pick with your family, work colleagues or a couple of friends – it all helps keep Cramlington clean and green.”
