Manor Walks hosts Science Spectacular event
Children can have some super science fun at Manor Walks this May Half Term when Mad Science come
along for some fascinating workshops to educate families in an engaging way.
Shoppers can get “hands-on” with exciting fun stations which are hosted by enthusiastic and experienced
science presenters in centre on Tuesday 28 th and Wednesday 29 th May. Families will be able to take part in
three different stations to interact and learn with live demonstrations on dry ice and vortexes as well as
two highly entertaining 30-minute family shows.
Victoria Malloy, Marketing Officer at Manor Walks Shopping Centre, said: “We are really excited to be
welcoming Mad Science along for free family fun this half term, the workshops are not only entertaining
but educational too which is an important factor when planning events.
“Children will be able to learn about a multitude of science theories to spark their imagination and curiosity
to instil a clear understanding of what science is and how it affects our world.
We’d encourage families to spend the day and take full advantage of all our fantastic shopping, dining and
leisure facilities. It’s a great place to combine activities for the whole family and we hope everyone will
enjoy our exciting programme of events this May Half Term.”
The fun doesn’t stop there, Manor Walks will also be hosting free science themed crafts on Thursday 30 th
and Friday 31 st May so children can get creative in an informative way. Learn how to create a colour wheel
and watch the colours blend together.
Over the holiday’s families can also enjoy a range of entertainment, including catching the latest cinema
release at Vue Cramlington, or getting active at Concordia Leisure Centre with its range of activities such as
bowling and Clip n Climb. Then after a jam-packed day, families can enjoy a bite to eat at Manor Walks’
range of restaurants including family favorites Sambucas, Nando's and Frankie & Benny’s.
