New planting will add some seasonal colour…

As any gardener will know, autumn is a busy time and for Cramlington Town Council’s Operations Team it is no different – our operatives have been clearing out the summer floral displays and planting our winter bedding across town.

The numbers are impressive – over 11,000 bedding plants have been used including primulas, polyanthus, pansies, 1200 wallflowers and nearly 2000 bellis.

Cramlington Town Mayor, Cllr Loraine De Simone said “I would like to publicly acknowledge the hard work of our Operations Team. I know they take great pride in their work and I’m looking forward to seeing the colourful display once the flowers are in full bloom – something to give Cramlington residents a little bit of cheer over the winter months.”
