Newly formed Cramlington Youth Council

March 23, 2022

Cramlington Town Council’s Youth Co-ordinator Steve Beaty has been working with students at Cramlington Learning Village and together they have formed Cramlington Youth Council.

The new group regularly meets at the high school and the students have decided their four main areas of focus will be:

  • Community Engagement
  • The provision of facilities for young people.
  • Caring for the environment
  • Improving the safety of young residents

Steve commented “I’m delighted with the formation of the Youth Council. It is important that the youngsters of Cramlington have a voice and the youth council provides an ideal forum for them to discuss the issues that are concerning them. I look forward to progressing projects they are giving input to – their unique insight appreciated.

If your child attends Cramlington Learning Village and would like to join the youth council, contact Mrs Clark on KClark@cramlingtonlv.co.uk
