Major new employer brings over 200 jobs to the county

Approval of plans for a major new employer to the county have been welcomed. JDR Cable Systems, a global leader in undersea cables for offshore wind, wave and tidal energy projects, will build a state-of-the-art facility on the site of the former coal-fired power station at Cambois.

Repeated damage to floral displays across Cramlington.

Cramlington Town Council regretfully reports that, yet again, floral displays have been subject to mindless vandalism. The latest incident concerns the Jubilee tribute to Her Majesty The Queen in the village centre and these follow of from previous vandalism near Beaconhill School, in Eastfield and at Blue Top Cottages.
