Opportunity For You workshop: Free advice on creating income from a hobby
Have you ever considered creating additional income by maximising your potential and exploring opportunities involving your hobbies interests?
If so, you may want to attend a FREE ‘Opportunities For You’ workshop which will help you find out more about how to creating an online business.
The event is taking place on Thursday 8th December 10am at Cramlington Town Council offices and being hosted by Digital Catapult Centre North East & Tees Valley.
With support from various community-led organisations, Cramlington Town Council, and the Town Mayor of Cramlington, we bring residents this opportunity to drop by for a coffee, a pastry, and a conversation about their aspirations.
Cramlington Town Mayor Loraine de Simone and Al Alzein (pictured), Engagement Specialist at Sunderland Software City / Digital Catapult NETV, invite you to turn up at any time between 10:00 and 13:00 to gain personalised information about:
- How to explore hobbies and interests that could generate additional income
- Support to help you consider setting up a sideline
- Employment advice and guidance
This friendly get together is open for anyone, so regardless whether you are employed, unemployed, retired, in education, or volunteering, you’re welcome to attend and meet new people!
Event host Al Alzein said: “Now is the time for residents in Cramlington to explore how their hobbies and interests could potentially generate some additional income. There has never been a better time for people of all backgrounds and skillsets to consider creating a side hustle that might generate some additional income amidst the challenging cost of living crisis that the nation is facing.”
Everything provided is free of charge and/or has no cost element to attendees.
The event is hosted in a large open room for people to meet and talk to one another with unlimited hot drinks and light refreshments available. There are consultation tables at the back of the room for 1-2-1 conversations with experienced advisors.

Please head to Newcastle Building Society within Manor Walks Shopping Centre. Outside the Bank, to the side, you will find a door which takes you to the lift or stairs to reception which will guide you to the Cramlington Town Council Community Room. This is where the event is hosted.
