Pruning will ensure street lighting is not blocked
Following concerns raised by Cramlington Town Council, Northumberland County Council are scheduled to commence a program to prune back and also remove problematic trees which are encroaching street lighting columns.
This work is due to start the week commencing 25th November followed by an additional week on the 16th December, then followed by additional weeks at a later date.
Two areas where trees are blocking street lights have already been highlighted by Cllrs Paul Ezhilchelvan and Mark Swinburn and the rest of Cramlington will be looked at one estate at a time.
If you are aware of any areas where trees are blocking street lights please report the issue on the Cramlington Town Council website or contact your local councillor.
