Pupils honour the fallen
All 173 children at Eastlea Primary School and Owlets Toddler Group were involved with creating a series of Remembrance tributes.
A poppy trail was created around the outside of the school featuring a variety of hand-made poppies, windmills, garlands and a giant net of poppies which was set up beside the school entrance.
Year 6 pupils researched sixty of the people that are named on Cramlington War Memorial and looked at the records of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
A Remembrance assembly included a silence and the playing of the Last Post as well as a reading from In Flanders Fields.
Cramlington Town Councillors Christine and Norman Dunbar visited the school to see the tributes where they praised the children for creating such poignant displays.
They are seen with staff, volunteers and pupils beside the poppy trail.
