Pupils planting project

Cramlington Town Council has presented a wooden planter to each of the nine primary schools in the town.
Councillor Loraine De Simone is seen with Year 1 pupils at Eastlea Primary School and their teacher Kay Lister who, as with all the schools, received some compost and a donation towards the purchase of plants from the council.
The project links in with the Cramlington In Bloom programme and the Northumbria In Bloom judges will visit some of the schools
We hope the children enjoy filling their planters so they are bursting with blooms and we will be visiting the schools later in the year to show you how the youngsters have got on.
