Recruitment drive to boost essential council services
Northumberland County Council has launched a recruitment campaign to bolster key roles to help residents during the coronavirus outbreak.
The Council is offering immediate starts with a guaranteed fixed-term contract for a minimum of three months on a full or part-time basis, for key roles such as caring, cleaning, gas and heating engineers, and a host of other roles all advertised on www.northeastjobs.org.uk – some offer the possibility of permanent employment in the future.
Daljit Lally, the Council’s Chief Executive said: “In these unprecedented times, we have an increased need for resources across our workforce, and would welcome applications from local people who could support our wonderful communities.
“We offer a range of excellent employment benefits, and are keen to recruit locally in the first instance, to support people in the county whose employment may have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak”.
