Register with Carers Northumberland to benefit from their offer of support

August 9, 2019

Carers Northumberland are inviting all carers in Cramlington to register with them and in doing so receive a range of advice and support.

The organisation provides information and advice on a variety of topics and offers a friendly contact to people who may not even realise they are classed as carers.

Do you look after a family member, friend or neighbour and are not paid to do so? Would this person not manage without you? If the answer to either of these questions is yes, then you are a carer.

There are an estimated 35,000 carers in the county and Carers Northumberland can help even if you do not claim carers allowance.

If you feel you don’t need help at the moment and are managing fine, it is still worth registering with Carers Northumberland to benefit from the support they can offer.

Advice is available on matters such as housing, social care, welfare rights, local services, health and well-being, personal development and the rights of a carer.

By registering you can access specialist support, attend support groups, receive a monthly newsletter, be offered advice from a key worker, get a carers emergency card and more.

Contact Carers Northumberland at 01670 320025 or info@carersnorthumberland.org.uk
