Repeated damage to floral displays across Cramlington.
Cramlington Town Council regretfully reports that, yet again, floral displays have been subject to mindless vandalism.
The latest incident concerns the Jubilee tribute to Her Majesty The Queen in the village centre.
It was first targeted between June the 1st and the 5th and again between the 6th and 7th when plants were pulled out.
Northumbria Police have been informed about these incidents and if you have any further information, please contact them quoting Crime Reference Number RAI220607054.
These recent incidents follow on from previous ones (also pictured) less than two
weeks ago near Beaconhill School, in Eastfield and Blue Top Cottages.
We ask people to take into consideration our Operations Team.
They really do care about the appearance of the town and it is demoralising for them to see their hard work attacked.
Our Operations and Facilities manager Daryl Wood said: “While the damage appears to be relatively minor this time, it is a regular occurrence and every year we see plants pulled from our floral displays. The Team is about to plant our summer bedding displays across the town. Will they be subject to similar vandalism too?”
“Come on Cramlington, surely we are better than that… aren’t we?”
