Star spots highlight the dazzling display of the night sky

Fancy a view of Vega?
Want to take a peek at Polaris?
Then head to one of Cramlington’s new Star Spot information boards.
The Star Spots are the Town Council’s own venture into the dark skies project and we have identified the best locations in town where the night sky can be viewed, due to reduced light pollution following the installation of LED lighting.
Three locations have been selected for the project; Alexandra park, Westfield Park and Horton Park. Each location has an information board that shows the features of the night sky that can be seen by looking north and south from the location.
