Swift work for High Pit spray paint artist!
When Cramlington Town Council commissioned a spray paint artist to create a mural seven years ago, little did they know the dizzy heights that his fame would reach.
Frank Styles produced the 8ft portrait on the newly named ‘Swiftie Steps’ at Wembley to mark the Eras tour by global superstar Taylor Swift.
The steps have instantly become a hit, attracting large numbers of fans keen to pose for a selfie.
But for the last 7 years Cramlington residents have been able to admire the artist’s work a bit closer to home with his mural on a gable end in High Pit. The image depicts part of a coal mine with an arm holding a miner’s lamp and the mine is surrounded by roses.
