Tasty treat for local youngsters
Cramlington-based charity Autism Northumberland treated some of their clients to a trip to Krispy Kreme at the Metro Centre as a direct result of a town councillor donating his members expenses.
Cllr Mark Swinburn was invited to join the youngsters and staff on the visit where they saw how the doughnuts were made and decorated and then, to their delight, made some themselves – and were allowed to take them home!.
The charity supports families from the whole of the North East who are living with Autism. They offer parent/carer support groups, sibling support groups, exclusive activites/events for autistic families, after school and holiday clubs, training workshops, facebook members only group, specialist teaching and coaching sessions, soft play, form filling, advice on schooling, all in a friendly and relaxed environment.
