Town Council helps Brownies become better connected!
Cramlington Town Council has enabled the 1st Cramlington Brownies to purchase a laptop and software by giving them a Community Chest grant of £309.99.
Presently the group do not have access to a computer or the internet during meetings and in future they will be able to research projects and activities they are working on.
Cramlington Town Council Community and Youth Manager Maggie Martin said: “One of the aims of the Brownies is to provide grassroots development opportunities that the members take with them through their time with the Girlguiding movement. The provision of the laptop ties in with the Council’s aims of developing the skillset of members of the local community.”
