Uniform clothing bank offers free service in Cramlington
A uniform clothing bank has opened at the Hope Centre in Cramlington offering uniforms for all the town’s schools as well as groups such as Beavers and Cubs.
This free service covers all schools from nursery age up to high school and offers uniforms and accessories such as shoes, school bags and P.E. kit.
The Uniform Bank welcomes donations from Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm and is open for collections between 10am and 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Group organisers would like to extend the collection opening hours but to do this more volunteers are needed. If you feel you can help please get in touch by calling in to the centre between 10am and 3pm Monday to Friday and ask for a volunteer form.
With winter approaching the uniform bank is on the look-out for winter coats, clothing and foot ware. So have a look and see if you have anything you could pass on to them.
Volunteer Pat Young said: “We are happy to provide this free service to the community and the response we have had demonstrates it is a needed resource.”
