VIDEO: A new flag is flying over Cramlington

Cramlington Town Council has hoisted a new flag in the village centre.

NHS We Thank You is written on the emblem and as Town Mayor Loraine De Simone explained it is representative of the council’s gratitude to all front line workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

Loraine said “This flag acknowledges the hard work being carried out by so many people – of course our wonderful NHS staff but also care home staff, teachers, delivery workers, shop workers, social workers, and council staff. Not forgetting the hard work being carried out by people at home who are home-schooling and having to explain to children why they can’t just run out to play.
