VIDEO: Working together to look after Valley Park
An ambitious plan is being launched to enhance, protect and promote Valley Park, one of Cramlington’s valued green spaces.
It is being led by Cramlington Town Councillors Steve Garrett and Paul Ezhilchelvan who are forming the Friends of Valley Park.
The aims of the group are to connect and inspire local residents, schools and community organisations who have a shared interest in Valley Park, enabling them to exchange ideas, skills and resources and take action on the issues that are most important to them.
Initial objectives include creating a QR-coded nature trail, working with Cramlington Wildspaces Hub to involve residents, schools and community groups in compiling the information about the local wildlife and heritage.
The two councillors are organising a litter pick on the afternoon of June 27th as a first step towards forming the group. If you would like to take part in the litter pick or are interested in joining the group please get in touch with the councillors by emailing stevegarrett.cramse@gmail.com and pezhilchelvan@gmail.com
