Volunteering opportunities in Cramlington

December 13, 2022

Are you looking for an opportunity to volunteer within your neighbourhood?

Are you involved with an organisation that would benefit by having more volunteers?

If the answer to either question is yes, Cramlington Town Council is here to help…

As our Community and Youth team work with organisations and individuals within the local community, we are increasingly aware of the need and opportunities for volunteers.

The Town Council’s Youth Co-ordinator Joe Eltringham, who is taking the lead on the volunteers link project explained: “Many people have more than one reason for volunteering – they may be motivated to help within their community or want to retain a skill, or develop and obtain experience in a new field. Some people are looking to make new friends, utilise spare time, or just add something to their CV.”

“Community groups and organisations may want to expand the range of services they offer or increase the number of people they reach but to do this they need to increase their volunteer workforce.”

“Our volunteers link project aims to connect organisations and volunteers for the mutual benefit of both.”

If your organisation would benefit from more volunteers fill in the form HERE

The Council’s role is to link up the two parties and they will then engage with each other. We only pass on volunteers’ details to groups that we consider relevant, the information will not be shared with any other organisation.
