Write On! Council funded scriptwriting workshop declared a success

August 30, 2022

Cramlington Town Council, through it’s Community Chest, has given £500 to fund a seven-week ‘Scriptwriting For Beginners’ workshop and the event has been a sell-out success.

The tuition is provided by Life of Reilly and their Creative Director Alison Stanley is delighted with the response the course has gained. As the workshops draw to a conclusion the students will have the opportunity to see their scripts brought to life by professional actors.

Cramlington Town Council Community and Youth Manager Maggie Martin said “Our Community Chest fund is there to support all a huge variety of community interests and this is the first time we have supported a writing course. I am very impressed by the work the students are creating and look forward to their reaction when their scripts are acted out.”

“If any other community groups would like to apply for a Community Chest grant I urge them to follow the link HERE which explains the eligibility criteria and the application process. or email maggie@cramlingtontowncouncil.gov.uk”
