About Us
Cramlington Town Council’s offices are located at 27/28 Bamburgh House, Manor Walks, NE23 6UT. The offices are open from 9.00am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 9.00am to 3pm Friday.
We have 12 councillors who are elected for a 4 year period. The next whole council elections will be held in May 2021.
The Town Clerk, Bob Baker is responsible for the management of council staff and for advising members on the council’s operational and financial activities. We directly employ eight administrative staff and an operations team with five staff.
We have an annual budget of £1,020,000 and are responsible for:
- Allotments
- Playgrounds
- Grass Cutting and Flower Beds*
- Bus Shelters
- Festive Lights and Events
- Litter Bins
- Public Seats
- War Memorials
We also support our local community and voluntary groups by providing grants to support their good work in Cramlington.
* Cramlington Town Council are responsible for grass cutting in selected areas which include playgrounds, sensory garden and the village. Northumberland County Council, are responsible for many of the services Cramlington residents commonly access: Benefits and Council Tax, Housing, Social Care, Tourism, Libraries, Schools, Roads and Transport, Waste and Recycling.
